Nikole Bresciani
President and CEO, Inland Valley Humane Society & SPCA

Nikole Bresciani has been advocating for animals since she was a child, as she grew up around the shelter with her dad previously serving at the helm of Inland Valley Humane Society & SPCA (IVHS) for 41 years. Prior to joining IVHS in 2019, Nikole spent over a decade in local government working in city management and collaborating with local organizations and stakeholders to improve the quality of life for residents. She served as an Assistant City Manager, Public Services Director and Community Services Director in the City of West Covina and held positions as Public Works Manager and Community Services Supervisor for the City of La Verne. Prior to her experience in local government, Nikole was a high school teacher and coach at Connelly High School where she guided the Girls’ Volleyball team to its first CIF Championship and back-to-back CIF Championships.

Under her leadership, IVHS has expanded its services, including adoption programs, veterinary care, and community outreach initiatives. Under Nikole’s leadership, IVHS reduced barriers to the adoption application, streamlined the adoption process, and IVHS now provides a robust adoption package for pet owners to minimize stress and financial barriers. In January 2023, IVHS opened its state-of-the-art veterinary medical center, the Alex and Elisabeth Lewyt Medical Center, to bring much needed affordable veterinary care and high volume high quality spay and neuter services to the community. Nikole and her team also focused on a huge community need with the launch of the Kibble Kupboard, where the motto is “take what you need, leave what you can” for pet food and supplies to support the vulnerable populations within the community.

Nikole is dedicated to enhancing the organization’s mission of protecting and caring for animals in the community while reducing barriers and improving access to programs and services to better support pet owners to keep pets out of shelters. Nikole is passionate about strengthening partnerships, advocating for humane education, and ensuring that every animal receives the care and compassion they deserve.

Nikole has a Master’s Degree in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco and is currently a CAWA candidate. She resides in Huntington Beach with her husband, Adam, and two sons, Colten and Brendan, and two IVHS alumni dogs, Ellie and Olive. She enjoys movies, exploring unique art and entertainment events, sports, traveling and reffing youth soccer.
