Eddy the cat, mascot of small Winters coffeehouse, dies in an attack at the shop

The feline mascot for a small coffeehouse in Winters died earlier this week after being attacked by a dog on the shop's patio, the small business said in a Facebook post.

Steady Eddy's Coffee House in downtown Winters has featured orange tabby Eddy as its mascot for over a decade, with a silhouette in his image appearing on cups and mugs. For years, employees and owners would feed Eddy when they opened in the morning, according to the Woodland Daily Democrat.
